One of the first things people say when they learn I have a two-year-old daughter is, "You must have so many adorable photos of her!" And they’re right—I do! But there’s a catch: I’m not in any of them. That’s the reality when you're the one always behind the camera.
That’s exactly why I do what I do—because I know how important it is to be in the photos with the people you love. I want to help you capture your family as they truly are, in a way that’s natural, heartfelt, and real. The giggles, the cuddles, the chaos, the quiet moments—everything that makes your family your family.
Yes, we’ll get a few classic posed shots (the ones the grandparents will frame immediately!), but the magic really happens in the in-between moments. When you receive your custom gallery, I want you to feel the love, the connection, and the beautiful everyday magic you share.

I totally understand—not everyone feels comfortable in front of the camera. Honestly, I’d rather be behind it myself! That’s why my number one priority during your family session is to help everyone feel relaxed and at ease. One of the best compliments I hear from families is that the kids had fun and hardly noticed they were “posing”—and that’s exactly what I aim for.
I’ll gently guide you with natural, playful prompts and keep things lighthearted, always working with beautiful, soft light to give your photos that warm, timeless glow. The session will feel calm and unforced—whether we’re capturing those big family hugs, little in-between giggles, or quiet, tender moments that happen naturally.
You don’t need to “perform” for the camera. Just be yourselves—laugh together, cuddle close, chase your kids around—and I’ll be there to capture it all in the most natural and unobtrusive way possible. My goal is simple: for you to enjoy time with your loved ones while I document the real magic of your family. And trust me—you’re going to love the memories we create.
Around four weeks after your session, you’ll receive a secure link to your personalized online gallery. From there, you can download your digital images and choose from a beautiful selection of prints and wall art to bring your photos to life.

Turnaround times for family galleries is a approximately 6 weeks. This might seem like a long time to wait for your photos, but I like to take my time to make sure everything is just right before I deliver your gallery. Trust me, it's worth the wait!

how long is the average turnaround for a gallery?
I'm happy to travel up to 20 miles from my hometown of Belper, Derbyshire, for family photography sessions. For locations beyond this, I'm still more than happy to travel, though a travel fee of £1 per additional mile will apply.

How far will you travel?
As the father of a two-year-old girl, I understand that it can take time for little ones to warm up and feel comfortable. A photoshoot can feel a bit daunting—for both children and adults—which is why I never rush my sessions. I focus on keeping things relaxed and fun, so we can capture natural, unposed moments of your child just being themselves. Trust me, those are the photos you'll treasure most.

What if my child is uncooperative or shy?
I always leave the decision to go ahead with the shoot up to my clients. I don’t mind a bit of rain—kids jumping in puddles often make for some of the best shots! But if you'd prefer to reschedule, that’s absolutely fine. All I ask is that we wait until the day of the shoot to make the call, as in my experience, the forecast is often wrong!

Do you offer gift vouchers?
Here in the East Midlands, we’re truly spoilt for choice when it comes to photoshoot locations. I usually recommend woodlands or parks, as they offer a beautiful, natural backdrop for your photos. That said, I'm always open to suggestions—so if you have a favourite spot in mind, just let me know! A few of my favourite spots include Wollaton Park, Highfields Park, and Rufford Park
