Amid all the cuddles, sleepless nights, and constant feeding, you’re probably feeling both overjoyed and completely exhausted. And while you want to treasure these fleeting newborn moments forever, the thought of getting yourself, your baby, and all the things they need out the door and into a studio can feel impossible. So why not make things easier and have your newborn photographer come to you?
In-home newborn photoshoots create a calm, familiar, and safe environment where you and your baby can simply be yourselves. There’s no rush, no stress, and no need to bundle up your little one for travel. Instead, you get to relax in your own space while I captures natural, meaningful moments — the tiny details, the sleepy snuggles, and the quiet beauty of your growing connection.

Your newborn photographer, and someone who genuinely believes these early days deserve to be remembered. As the father of a 5 year old and 6 month old, I know just how fast time flies when you have kids!
I know having your photograph taken can feel a little daunting—especially when you’ve had very little sleep, you’re still finding your feet as a new parent, and your tiny human seems to have their own ideas about how the photoshoot should go! That’s why I keep my newborn sessions relaxed, natural and completely baby-led.
My style is natural and emotive, focusing on those tiny details you’ll want to remember—the little fingers and toes, sleepy cuddles, the way your baby fits perfectly into your arms, and all the love you already have for this little person.
Most importantly, I want your photos to feel like you. No forced smiles or awkward posing—just beautiful, genuine moments that bring you right back to those precious first days whenever you look at them.

I totally understand—not everyone feels comfortable in front of the camera. Honestly, I’d rather be behind it myself! That’s why my number one priority during your newborn session is to help everyone feel relaxed and at ease. One of the best compliments I hear from families is that the kids had fun and hardly noticed they were “posing”—and that’s exactly what I aim for.
Having a newborn can feel like a bit of a whirlwind, so your photoshoot should be a calm and enjoyable experience. There’s no pressure for your baby to behave perfectly or for you to know exactly what to do. I’ll gently guide you throughout the session, while allowing plenty of time for feeds, cuddles, nappy changes and settling whenever your little one needs them.
You don’t need to “perform” for the camera. Just cuddle your baby, enjoy those quiet moments together and let me take care of the rest. My goal is for your session to feel relaxed and unforced, while I unobtrusively capture the little moments you’ll want to remember forever.
Around four weeks after your session, you’ll receive a secure link to your personalized online gallery. From there, you can download your digital images and choose from a beautiful selection of prints and wall art to bring your photos to life.

So, Here's the Plan...
Turnaround times for family galleries is a approximately 6 weeks. This might seem like a long time to wait for your photos, but I like to take my time to make sure everything is just right before I deliver your gallery. Trust me, it's worth the wait!

how long is the average turnaround for a gallery?
I'm happy to travel up to 20 miles from my hometown of Belper, Derbyshire, for family photography sessions. For locations beyond this, I'm still more than happy to travel, though a travel fee of £1 per additional mile will apply.

How far will you travel?
As the father of a two-year-old girl, I understand that it can take time for little ones to warm up and feel comfortable. A photoshoot can feel a bit daunting—for both children and adults—which is why I never rush my sessions. I focus on keeping things relaxed and fun, so we can capture natural, unposed moments of your child just being themselves. Trust me, those are the photos you'll treasure most.

What if my child is uncooperative or shy?
I always leave the decision to go ahead with the shoot up to my clients. I don’t mind a bit of rain—kids jumping in puddles often make for some of the best shots! But if you'd prefer to reschedule, that’s absolutely fine. All I ask is that we wait until the day of the shoot to make the call, as in my experience, the forecast is often wrong!

Do you offer gift vouchers?
Here in the East Midlands, we’re truly spoilt for choice when it comes to photoshoot locations. I usually recommend woodlands or parks, as they offer a beautiful, natural backdrop for your photos. That said, I'm always open to suggestions—so if you have a favourite spot in mind, just let me know! A few of my favourite spots include Wollaton Park, Highfields Park, and Rufford Park
