This beautiful wedding venue is always such a joy to photograph – it just oozes comfort, love and warmth. The rustic feel of the Barn combined with the surrounding lush green meadows makes a stunning backdrop to your wedding photographs. As a Derbyshire wedding photographer, I never take for granted these stunning venues that are literally, right on my doorstep!
It was, therefore, no surprise that I was thrilled when Abbie got in contact! Chaz and Abbie were after a photographer to capture their day in a relaxed, unobtrusive way. Someone who would capture those natural moments as they unfolded, without all the awkward posing. Of course, I was more than happy to oblige!

A little way away from the main Barn, there is a separate area where the Bride (or groom!) can get ready. It was here that I first met Abbie. There was a definite buzz of excitement in the air, as Abbie chatted with her family and friends, whilst gentle music played in the background. The beautiful, natural light in this room gave Abbie’s getting ready photos a soft, ethereal feel. As a Derbyshire Wedding Photographer, at these moments I like to capture the more natural photographs. This is definitely not the time for over-the-top posing and staging!

The rustic charm combined with the modern, large glass windows that overlook the rolling hills gives your marriage ceremony a magical, charming feel. Sure, we’ll do a few posed photographs that always look nice on the living room wall, but most of my images are candid, documentary style coverage.
