I get it – those first few weeks when you have a new-born are an absolute whirlwind of laughter, stress, love and poop. You want to preserve these moments, but you also don’t want to be forcing your new-born into a stressful, unfamiliar situation. Well, maybe my in-home new-born photography is just what you need! Having a new-born photoshoot at home, rather than a studio, takes so much stress out of getting some pics of your tiny new baby. Your baby will be so much more relaxed (and so will you!) in an environment that feels familiar and safe. In my opinion, it’s the BEST way to get natural, organic photographs of you and your new-born baby.
Having a young daughter myself, I am absolutely familiar with the fact that babies can be a little unpredictable. This is why I always work around you and your babies needs. Need to stop for a feeding break? No problem! I will never rush your sessions or ‘clock-watch’. Every session, just like every baby, is unique, and I will totally pace my session around you. Having a new-born photoshoot at home means your baby should feel safe and loved, in an environment that they are comfortable in, reducing the likelihood of them feeling stressed or worried. I believe this is always reflected in the photographs!
Whose is?! You’ve got enough on your plate at the moment without having to make your house spotless for a photographer! I might move some things about (with your permission!), but only in order to get a nicer composition for your photographs. If you did want to tidy up before hand, I typically photograph new-borns in the nursery and living room. Seriously though, I definitely don’t expect anyone with a new-born to have a spotless house, so don’t let it worry you one bit! For now, I’ll leave you with some pics from a recent new-born photography session I did for Chloe, Robbie and their little baby boy Fynn. Enjoy 🙂
