Why have your family photoshoot at Sherwood Pines, Mansfield?
Sherwood Pines is one of those locations that I always recommend for a family photoshoot – I’m actually really surprised I haven’t written a blog post about it before! One of my favourite things about this location is the sheer size of the place. It’s HUGE! So huge that it’s easy to get away from all the crowds and find a nice secluded spot. Also, the giant pine trees provide a lovely backdrop for your piccies (see above!). Whatever the season, Sherwood Pines always manages to pull it out the bag.
As well as being a fantastic photo location, it’s also just a great place to hang out for the day! There’s so much for the kids to do, amazing playgrounds and even a ‘Go-Ape’ course (I have avoided this so far…). There’s great facilities, and a cafe that stocks delicious cakes and drinks. There’s a Gruffalo trail that my daughter absolutely loves too!
Wait… Sherwood Pines or Sherwood Forest??
Sherwood Pines! I have had people go to the wrong place before. Luckily the two locations are only about 10 minutes apart so it isn’t the end of the world 🙂
It was here that I met the lovely Kanchan and her family for a relaxed, chill photoshoot. They honestly made my job so easy – I mean just look at them!! The outfit choice was absolutely on point for this one too. I don’t currently offer a client wardrobe, but I’m seriously thinking about investing in one after this shoot.
Other fun things to do at Sherwood Pines
There’s loads of things you can do at Sherwood Pines for a fantastic day out. Heard of disk golf? (I certainly hadn’t!) Well, you can play it here! Ever been on Segway (I certainly haven’t!), well you can try that too! You can also bring your bike and do cycling and mountain biking trails. You can even stay at one of their luxury lodges if you fancy a break from all the hustle and bustle! You could even go to the weekly park runs that are on every Saturday. I should really get round to doing this! I can’t use the excuse of having a two year old forever 🙁
