I’ve been to Padley Gorge multiple times now, for both family photoshoots and couples photoshoots. As far as I’m concerned there’s no better place for a Peak District engagement photoshoot! There really is something for everyone, loads of open space for kids to run around and have fun, as well as more secluded spots for couples wanting a bit more privacy. When Sam contacted me asking to organise an engagement shoot for himself and his fiancé, Padley Gorge was the location that immediately sprung to mind!
I met Sam and Kez at Surprise View car park, the base for our short hike. It was beginning to get dark, however we were still about an hour before sunset. Hoping for some lovely ‘golden hour’ photos, we set off! Straight away it felt like I’d known Sam and Kez for ages… We chatted and laughed as we walked (occasionally stopping for photos too!) and before we knew it, we’d reached the top of the hill. The sunset that greeted us at the top was absolutely stunning! The soft, golden light gave the images a lovely glow, and the rolling hills of the peak district provided a gorgeous backdrop.
By the time we had finished snapping some pictures at the top, it was time to begin our descent. On the way down, we were chatting so much that we got distracted and missed the right path! I was ready to fight off the wolves with my heavy camera gear, but thankfully, it didn’t come to that 🙂
Are you planning your own engagement photoshoot? Are you looking for a peak district engagement photographer that captures genuine moments between you and your partner? Then look no further! With minimum posing (and definitely no ‘say cheese!’), I will capture those authentic moments of love and affection that you both share.
Anyway, that’s enough rambling. I’ll let the images do the rest of the talking 🙂
